About Kids to school

Our mission

Since 2008, Kids to School has been making secondary education and vocational training accessible to young people in Kenya, Tanzania, and the Philippines who would otherwise not have the financial means to pursue their education. We support young people in completing their studies, enabling them to build an independent and sustainable future for themselves.

We put special emphasis on supporting girls and young women, as they often have fewer opportunities for education and economic independence in these countries.

Our vision

We believe that education changes lives. An education not only provides young people with knowledge and skills, but also gives them confidence, opportunities, and hope for the future.

By investing in education, we invest in independence, equality, and a stronger future for young people, their families, and their communities. That is why we work closely with local partners who know the students personally and provide ongoing guidance, ensuring that our support is both personal and sustainable.

The board

Behind the foundation is a dedicated board based in the Netherlands. We work closely with committed local partners and volunteers who mentor the students and have a clear understanding of their needs and circumstances. This enables us to ensure that our support reaches young people for whom education can truly make a life-changing difference.
