Why did we sponsor Beatrice?
Beatrice is the eldest daughter in a family with three younger sisters and two brothers. Her parents did not receive a formal education and depend on temporary jobs and the income from a few goats to support the family. Beatrice is very eager to learn and works hard at school, but her parents are unable to afford their children’s education.
Since January 2017, Beatrice has been sponsored by Kids to School, enabling her to improve her future through education. At that time, she was in her second year of secondary school in Nyahururu. At the end of 2019, she successfully completed her secondary education with good grades.
Because of her good academic performance, Kids to School continued its support, and in October 2020 Beatrice began studying Public Administration and Leadership at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. This bachelor’s degree program lasts four years. At the end of 2023, she completed her final examinations and has successfully finished her studies.
