Elias’s dream is to become a civil engineer and bring about the positive change that his community and the Kenyan society is looking for.

Why did we sponsor Elias?
When Elias was three years old, his mother left him in the care of his grandmother. His grandmother was poor, and even during primary school he was often sent home because the school fees could not be paid. Going to school without shoes and being sent home so often made Elias feel inferior to his classmates. Thanks to his excellent academic performance and the kindness of the school principal, Elias was able to continue his primary education. He completed it with outstanding results and earned admission to secondary school. Around that time, his grandmother was fortunate to come into contact with COTRR, a support organization that provides guidance and financial assistance to young people. His mentor has been like a father to Elias. He not only continually encouraged him to work harder, but also taught him how to relate to others and deal with the challenges he encountered in life. Elias graduated from secondary school in November 2018 with excellent results (A-). Unfortunately, the sponsorship ended after he obtained his diploma.
Elias was accepted into the program of his dreams, Civil Engineering, and Kids to School gave him the opportunity to make that dream a reality. The sponsorship began in 2019, when Elias started his university studies.
The support Elias received from COTRR and Kids to School helped him realize the vital role that education plays in life. He sees education as a powerful tool that acts an an equalizer because it creates opportunities and opens doors for people, regardless of their background, anywhere in the world.
Elias completed his studies in December 2025. Thanks to the support of Kids to School, he has been given the opportunity to build an independent future for himself.
