Waarom we Elizabeth sponsorden?
Elizabeth is one of 26 children from a polygamous Maasai family. One of her brothers attended high school and he was responsible for the whole family when the father was too old to work. Kids to School has sponsored Elizabeth since 2009, as her family could not afford her school fees. Elizabeth finished her high school in 2012 and in September 2013 she began her study for a certificate in Human Resource Management at the Technical Training Institute Maasai in Kajiado. Elizabeth stopped studying in 2014 when she got married and had a daughter. In 2016, she resumed the first part of her studies, the pre-certificate program, and successfully completed it in March 2017. Since early 2013, Elizabeth has participated in the program of Maasai Girls Education Fund (MGEF).
Thanks to the support she received from Kids to School, Elizabeth was able to complete a pre-certificate course in Human Resource Management. Earning this qualification has greatly increased her opportunities for building an independent future.
