Why did we sponsor Lydia?
Lydia’s parents both passed away before she was two years old. She has five brothers. Only her eldest brother received further education; the other four attended primary school only.
Lydia completed primary school at the end of 2016. Due to financial difficulties, she attended the first two years of secondary school with frequent absences. Since January 2019, Kids to School has sponsored her education, enabling her to complete secondary school without financial stress. At that time, she was in her third year of secondary school.
Lydia successfully completed secondary school in May 2021, achieving a D+ grade.
