Why do we sponsor Casey?
Casey’s single mom works as a housekeeper but does not earn enough to pay for Casey’s school education. In order to help her mom and still be able to Casey’s school te kunnen betalen. To stay in school while helping supporting her mother, Casey worked at McDonald’s during her final year of high school. She graduated in June 2024 and immediately began studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology that same month.
Balancing university studies with a part-time job was challenging, especially during her first semester. As an only child, however, she felt a strong sense of responsibility to help her mother. Since November 2024, Kids to School has been sponsoring her, allowing her to focus on her studies without the burden of financial worries.
Casey expects to graduate in 2028. Casey says that the Kids to School scholarship was a lifeline that not only provided her with financial support but also renewed her hope for a better future. Her education empowers her and gives her the foundation to build an independent future.
