Why do we sponsor Daudi?
Daudi comes from a family that has faced significant hardship. Due to years of severe drought, they lost all of their livestock, which was their main source of livelihood. Today, his father earns a modest income through sand harvesting, while his mother supports the family by making and selling beadwork.
Despite these challenges, Daudi’s parents are deeply committed to their children’s education. They regularly seek financial support from relatives, friends, and community members to help cover school fees. Unfortunately, there is often not enough money available, forcing the children to miss classes and return home until fees can be paid.
Recognizing both Daudi’s potential and the difficulties his family faces, Muriet, one of the mentors at the LAC, recommended him for sponsorship. With the support of a sponsor, he can continue his education uninterrupted and work towards a brighter future.
For this reason, Muriët, one of the mentors at the LAC, nominated him for sponsorship.
Daudi is expected to complete secondary school in 2027. After that, Kids to School will support him in exploring his next steps and, depending on his academic results and personal interests, help him pursue further education opportunities.
