Patrick’s dream is to become an engineer

- Sponsoring was continued in 2023 when he started his study for Bachelor in Computer Science, a 4-year course

Why do we sponsor Patrick?
Patrick completed primary school with excellent results. However, this achievement also brought immediate concerns for him, as he feared that all his hard work would have been in vain. He knew that his single mother, who did not have a steady job, would not be able to afford the tuition fees for secondary school. Thanks to her temporary work, as well as support from the church and people around them, the fees for his first year of secondary school were paid. Patrick completed that first year with outstanding grades. Raising the money for the first semester of the second year was once again a major challenge. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it became even harder for his mother to earn an income. In the end, they had to sell their small piece of land.
Patrick would have been forced to drop out of school if Kids to School has not started sponsoring him in 2021 in his second year of high school. Because of his excellent academic performance and motivation we think he deserves the opportunity to complete his education without the burden of financial worries.
Patrick completed secondary school at the end of 2022.
Kids to School is pleased to give him the opportunity to continue his education so that he can build an independent and successful future. In September 2023, he started his dream program in Computer Science, pursuing his goal of becoming an engineer.
Patrick expects to complete his studies in 2027.
