Salim’s dream is to establish a social enterprise that supports vulnerable children and talented young people with limited financial means in achieving their educational goals.

- 2023 – 2025: Sponsored by Cornerstone Leadership Secondary School, which enabled him to complete his Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (A-Level)
- Since 2025: Sponsored again by Kids to School for his three-year studies in Business Administration & Interior Design

Why do we sponsor Salim?
Salim lives with his mother in Bagamoyo. His mother earns a living as a casual agricultural worker, but her income is not sufficient to support the family’s basic needs, let alone cover the costs of education for her children.
Kids to School began sponsoring Salim in 2019, enabling him to attend a boarding school where he could receive a quality secondary education and focus on his studies away from the daily financial challenges at home. In 2022, he successfully completed this education at vocational level.
After a rigorous selection process, Salim was awarded a scholarship from Cornerstone Leadership Secondary School to continue his studies at A-Level. He completed this programme at the end of 2024 with good results. Unfortunately, the scholarship ended upon completion of his diploma.
Salim grew up in a family of skilled craftsmen and would like to pursue further education in Interior Design, a field that can offer him promising career opportunities. Kids to School supports him because we recognise the importance of quality education and has resumed sponsoring Salim from November 2025 onwards.
Salim chose this programme because it allows him to further develop both his creative talents and his management skills. Through this education, he hopes to build a sustainable career, provide a better future for his family, and help lift them out of poverty.
Salim expects to complete his studies in 2028.
