Why do we sponsor Sandra?

Sandra is the eldest child of a single mother whom suffers from depression. This prevents her from properly caring for her two children. She lives with her children at her parents’ home. The grandparents take care of the two children but have no steady income. They have to rely on the financial help of an aunt and often lack the money for basic needs and school fees for the children.

Sandra was a good student in primary school, so Kids to School decided to support her so she is able to attend secondary school. She is a motivated student, who works hard. She finished secondary school in 2023.

Thanks to her excellent results in secondary school, Kids to School is now also sponsoring her further education. We believe that education will give her the opportunity to create a better future for herself.

Sandra expects to graduate in 2027. The job prospects in the healthcare sector are good in Kenya, especially for graduates of a Kenya Medical Training College, such as Sandra. Through her education, she has the opportunity to build an independent and self-sufficient future for herself.
